Animals have been at the center of my life since early childhood, and I have always wanted my career to be connected to them. During my studies, I discovered the profession of a groomer and completed a professional course in small animal grooming under the mentorship of Mojca Svetličič.
For some time, I worked in several grooming salons as an assistant groomer, where I refined and developed my skills. In 2020, I decided to start my independent journey and opened my own salon, Pet Planet, in Ajdovščina, which continues to operate successfully today. In my salon, I work with a variety of small animals, including dogs, cats, rabbits, guinea pigs, and more.
I am part of the Iv San Bernard Alpine-Adriatic Group Academy team, which specializes in professional pet grooming, dermocosmetology, and hydro/ozone therapy. We are currently in the process of establishing a physical academy within my salon.
Over the years, I have continuously upgraded my knowledge through both independent learning and numerous seminars and workshops, and I intend to keep doing so, as there is always more to learn.
My primary goal is the well-being of animals, as well as raising grooming standards and increasing awareness of proper approaches, techniques, and the importance of appropriate cosmetic products.
With my late dog, who also suffered from allergies, various skin conditions appeared. In addressing these issues, the choice of appropriate cosmetics played a key role, and I observed a significant improvement after using Iv San Bernard products. This is the only brand I use in my salon today, as it contributes greatly to the well-being of many animals. In my daily work, I frequently encounter animals with allergies, whose quality of life can be significantly improved with proper care.
I have also completed training in ozone therapy and provide ozone spa treatments in my salon.
I have always had a passion for veterinary medicine, and working as a groomer has opened new opportunities for me in this field. As I work with many clients dealing with various skin conditions and health issues, I am in regular contact with veterinarians, and I occasionally work as a groomer at the Vetris Veterinary Clinic.
I strive to build better communication and stronger collaboration between groomers and veterinarians.
Currently, I am also enrolled in veterinary technician school, which will provide me with deeper knowledge and further strengthen the connection between different animal care professions.
In 2024, I entered the world of dog shows with a male Shetland Sheepdog, with whom I have already achieved several championship titles. This journey continued with the addition of a female of the same breed, and together we are actively progressing in the show world, while also training in agility and obedience (BBH, IBGH).
