Jelena Tomić
“I was born in 1991 in Belgrade. My love for animals led me very early toward the world of pet care and grooming. In 2013, I began my professional career at the Pretty Pet salon in Belgrade, where I learned the basics of dog care, bathing, hygiene, and client communication.
In 2014, I opened my own salon, Doggy Style Grooming, and began my journey of professional development. Over the years, I have worked with a variety of dog breeds, developing advanced grooming and styling techniques. I placed a special focus on mastering the Asian Fusion style, which led me in 2022 to complete training at the Pet Icon Grooming Academy (PIGA) in Malaysia. After completing the training in Malaysia, I continued with a one-year online program at their academy.
In 2023, I attended a seminar and workshop with the educator and director of the PIGA school in Izmir, after which I organized the same seminar in Belgrade. The same year, I completed the course “The Great School of Cynology” at the Cynological Academy, further expanding my knowledge of dog behavior and needs.
I have participated in numerous seminars and educational programs, as well as in the international Groomania competition as part of Team Serbia (Poodle category) in Belgium in 2024, which enabled me to work according to international standards and further improve my professional skills.
In the same year, 2024, I expanded my work into education as well, organizing workshops and seminars for young groomers. From 2025, as the owner of the company KHALEESI DOO, I became the general distributor of professional Iv San Bernard cosmetics for the territory of Serbia, further raising grooming standards through high-quality products and education on their use.
In addition, I am a member of the Groomers Association of Serbia, which allows me continuous professional development and collaboration with colleagues in the industry.
Today, I work as a professional groomer, educator, and cosmetics distributor, constantly improving my knowledge and standards of work. My goal is to provide top-quality care for pets and to educate other professionals so that grooming standards are raised to the highest level.”
