Inga Dvojković

DVM, Certified Canine Rehabilitation Practitioner (CCRP), lecturer, professional groomer, and owner of the Kali grooming salon in Zagreb

“My career in grooming began at the age of 17, while attending veterinary high school, where I worked in a small animal veterinary clinic. After graduating from the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine in Zagreb, completing my professional internship, and passing the licensing exam, I opened the Kali salon in 2012 in Zagreb. I have successfully been running it for 13 years, and today it operates with a team of three groomers.

From the very beginning, my goal has been to elevate grooming to a higher standard – with a strong focus on proper skin and coat care, as well as the wellbeing of dogs during grooming procedures. That is why we exclusively use Iv San Bernard cosmetics in our salon, whose professional and environmentally friendly products allow for high-quality, safe, and comprehensive care for all dogs.

My first Schnauzer was a family pet, and with my second male dog I entered the dog show world, where he achieved the titles of Croatian, Slovenian, and Bosnian and Herzegovinian champion. In 2018, I achieved 2nd place at the IGA competition in Serbia and became the IGA leader for Croatia. The following year, I organized the first IGA competition in Croatia and founded the Kali Grooming School, an IGA-certified school covering a wide range of knowledge – from anatomy, breed standards, biomechanics, dermatology, and cosmetology to safety, proper handling of dogs, scissoring, stripping, and grooming in accordance with kennel standards.

In 2021, I founded a grooming section within the Crafts Association of the City of Zagreb, which I currently lead, with the aim of raising grooming standards in Zagreb. Within this framework, I regularly organize and personally deliver a series of free lectures for groomers, with a special focus on first aid in grooming salons.

I have a particular focus on Schnauzers, Fox Terriers, and Bichon Frisés, although our salon provides grooming for all breeds. A significant part of my work is dedicated to educating groomers – I am very pleased to organize seminars and collaborate with top international experts such as Monique van de Ven, Anna Bardysheva, Luis Martín del Río, Irina Smirnova, and others.

I strongly believe in continuous professional development, which is why last year I began training in Emmett Therapy for dogs, and I have recently completed a specialist program in canine physical therapy – Master CCRP (Certified Canine Rehabilitation Practitioner), with the aim of providing owners and their pets with even higher quality, more comprehensive, and more professional care.”
